FAQ

Your Aerotube Shade is based on a simple structural concept and therefore easy to set up. No tools required. For any question coming up give us a call and we will be glad to assist you.

Q: How long does it take to erect the AEROTUBE Shade?
A: The average time is around 20 minutes including putting the structure in place. The time needed is mostly for the inflation process using the electric air compressor, which is part of the kit. Click on setup to the left and see how easy it is.

Q: How long do I need to take the structure down?
A: You will need only a couple of minutes to deflate the structure far enough to take your shade down. Store the envelope and tubes together after complete deflation, which can take 1/2 hour.

Q: What about the maintenance?
A: Aerotube shade structures are literally maintenance free. Neither the shade cloth nor the tubes or the stands are to treat in any special way over time. Clean the envelope with your water hose.

Q: What do I have to do under high wind conditions?
A: Your AEROTUBE Shade will be safe even under gusty and stormy wind conditions following a few simple considerations. The lower the height of your structure by positioning the stands more apart the more wind load can it take.

A high positioned shade (roof angle 45 degree and more) will resist wind guests only around 40 mph. A lower positioned shade can take more than 60 mph. Higher winds could move the structure but never destroy it, because it will pop up back in shape after overload.

Q: Do I have to get a building permit to use the AEROTUBE Shade structure?
A: No. The structure is called non permanent and can be used without any permit from your town. (some areas are limited in height for structures, adjust your structure accordingly)

Q: How often do I have to refill or pressurize the tubing again?
A: After the initial filling, there should be no loss in pressure over time.

Q: Can the structure be put up over the whole summer?
A: Yes, it can. This is one the new design features using Poolshade.
